Garapa
Garapa is a light yellowish to honey-brown colour and its interlocked grain has a fine texture. It is a very durable timber that resists rot, decay and fire. It is also scratch resistant and is primarily used as a kiln-dried decking timber. The timber is lustrous and does not bleed.

It is also scratch resistant and is primarily used as a kiln-dried decking timber. The timber is lustrous and does not bleed.
Density: 900 kg/m3 air-dried
Mechanical Properties: Garapa is hard, strong durable timber. Shrinkage is medium.
Workability: Garapa saws, nails and screws well with only slight blunting effect and also glues well. It is scratch resistant.
Uses: structural flooring, construction and decking.
